I’m A #tsuwalker Shooting For The Bullseye

Last Saturday I knew it was time for me to get back to walking regularly. I used to walk so much that one of my old nicknames is BigManWalking. (I still have it as my id with places like Comic-Con. I’m sure you can find my old BigManWalking blog on blogspot.) The most I have ever walked in one day is 14 miles.

I’ve been integrating tsu into my life and created a game called #tsuwalker to keep me from getting bored on a long walk. I decided that if you’re walking and liking, that’s #tsuwalking. If you do this regularly, you’re a #tsuwalker. I put those hashtags on my tsu profile. I’m pretty sure I’m the first to use these hashtags for this purpose, so I believe it’s fair to say that I invented the game. (Even if someone else thought of it, we don’t know about each other.)

The most important thing about #tsuwalking is that you do it in a way that’s safe. Let me repeat that with emphasis. The MOST IMPORTANT THING about #tsuwalking is that you do it in a way that’s SAFE. As for me, I paused about every 75 yards or so and did 10 likes on my mobile phone. If I had to switch to another person’s profile I just kept walking while tsu was doing its thing. If there was no technical glitch at the moment I paused my walk, I was then able to just look down at the phone I was carrying in my left hand and do those likes.

As with anything, the more practice you get, the better and faster you can become. The first day I liked Nicole Barnett’s wall all the way back the her beginning on tsu.

On Sunday I switched between several users and did from 2-60 likes on each one. Sometimes I found someone who I had given a lot of likes to earlier in the week and so that person didn’t get that many on Sunday.

During the whole weekend I walked over 6 miles and that’s pretty great start after my long layoff.

If you want to like those same people, find me on tsu – @ACrowdFunder – and check out my posts in the next day or two.

Now, there is another game I like to call the Bullseye Game and life is calling so I’m leaving it for next time.

Are You On tsu? Join Our Group On tsu!

First, if you are NOT on tsu and you are reading this on a computer, you can join by following the link in the upper right. When you follow my link that connects you to me (@ACrowdFunder) and tsu refers to you as my child. Welcome, my child! 😉

If you are already registered on tsu and you want to get more likes, views and followers, Mateo Garcia (@beNICEmedia) and I and several others have created a group and that group is becoming a team that helps the members get more likes, views and followers on tsu. Right now we are accepting members who speak English in the USA and Canada. If you are from a different country and want to be part of a future expansion of the team, you are also welcome to contact me now and I’ll let you know when the time is right for that expansion.

This is a good time for me to write about the requirement for English speakers only. This has to do with just one thing. Speed. Speed of communication is the biggest factor. Soon our group will be 50, then 100 and then 500 members or more. I know some Spanish, but not enough to run an organization. I send out emails 5 or 6 days a week to the team and those emails are in English. If you have a viable solution that doesn’t add to the time it takes for us to do things, I’m willing to hear it. Just know that at least until the end of March, I’m going to be very, very busy. So that conversation could take time as I would have to fit it in to everything else I’m doing.

If you are on tsu and you have an outside business that you believe can be helped by tsu, you are a great candidate for our group. If you would just like to come play with us and get more likes, views and followers on tsu and help others do the same, that’s great!

Right now I have 5000 friends on tsu, so you would need to be a follower. Those are tsu’s rules. Not mine.

Want more success? Ready to learn how to better use social media to get there? Join my team.

I’m @ACrowdFunder!

Are You Ready To Grow?

Many people SAY that they are ready to grow, but what happens when they are asked to do something different?

Doing something different is unavoidable if you are going to grow personally.
Saying you’ll do something and actually doing it are two different things.

If you answered YES to the question in the title of this post, then…let’s take action!

If you want to be part of a group that’s growing faster, then give me your email in the comment section of this post.

If you can’t figure out how to do that you need to contact me by message or comment on tsu and you can message me your email.

I want 20 people.

First, I want five people. Then five more again and again until I have 20 people.

Will you be one of those people in this group who learns more closely from me?

Would you like your tsu account to be more successful?

Would you like 5000 followers on tsu? (I will be there before Christmas barring a power outage or some structural change with tsu or the internet!)

Would you like to use your tsu account to help another business or venture?

I can’t help everyone directly because I only have so much time.

Let’s start with the first five people. Are you one of them?

Make a comment on this CoachZero blog post like this:

Hi Charlie!

I want to be part of this group that’s growing faster and creating more success with my tsu account and in other areas.

I am ready to work hard and learn to do things that will become habits.

Here is my email – JosephineBaker@imready.com

I promise to respond to the contents of your email within 8 hours of receiving it.

Charlie, thank you for the opportunity!

What are you waiting for? Contact me now! Have an excellent day!

Have You Done 1000 Likes Yet?

For those of you who read my blog before I got onto tsu, I apologize that tsu is all I’m writing about right now.

Then again, no I don’t apologize. If YOU are not on tsu, you are missing out. If you were on tsu you would understand why we’re putting in so much effort there right now. You can join us there with the link in the upper right of this page. If you can’t find it…Click HERE.

I’m having fun on tsu and yes, there is some work. It took me a little while before I got to 1000 likes in 24 hours and now I’ve done it three different times. Today I got to 1000 likes, 1000 comments and zero (re-)shares left. That’s the second time I’ve done all three.

The more I do it, the more fun it is and it becomes less work because you find out ways to get it done in a style that you enjoy.

For instance, you could go to @Zaibatsu (I’m his tsu child, I think) and @beNICEmedia (nice name! He’s my tsu child, for sure!) and like over 150 posts (shares) each and you’ll probably truly enjoy all the images and really love 50% of them! When you do that you will find that it doesn’t take as long as you thought and now you’ve only got 700 to go in the next 24 hours.

Next you can go to your feed and it’s not hard to knock out 50 or 60 likes every 30 minutes. So, do whatever else you’re doing in your day and come back every half hour to do some likes and a few comments. That’s less than an 8 hour day WHILE you’re doing something else OR you could just spread it out into smaller pieces throughout a 16 hour day.

Just to be clear, I’m not saying that this doesn’t take any time AND I’m not saying that you should only sit there on tsu all day either. You have to interweave it into your life so you can do the things you normally do.

For instance, I just went out the store to get some soup for our son who is sick today. Earlier today I drove my wife to work and I’ve also played with the dogs. Yesterday I got to watch the second-to-last episode of Sons of Anarchy as well as the Daily Show and Stephen Colbert and I played cards with my wife.

You have to experience DOING tsu before you can figure out how it fits into your life. You will do some things that aren’t very efficient and you’ll figure out how to get faster. And, you’ll figure out how to follow the rules.

Because I got an email from tsu I make sure that all my comments are at least two words long. I don’t want to get banned from tsu because 1) I enjoy it, 2) I’m meeting new people like a filmmaker in NY this morning and a whole lot of new friends in Japan and 3) I really think that in the LONG run there is money to be made here.

That being said, you do have some work to do and you do need to be patient.

You also have to be willing to learn.

I never used to put hashtags on stuff unless I was using Twitter. Now I’m experimenting and I’m also using @ to let people know that I’ve shared something. I’ve even started to find Beatles fans who want me to @ them when I share Beatles stuff. I never used to do that, but I’m learning and USING what I learn.

Some of you are wondering about the numbers and I do think that they are important because at the very least they measure how effectively you’re communicating with large numbers of people. In a sense, the money is a way to keep score of your tsu skill.

I’m sure there are some game players who will love this part of tsu. If you can look at it like a game it can be much more fun! I NEVER imagined liking shares 1000 times in one day before I got on tsu.

Lots of people feel the same way. One guy even made a comment asking if I’m getting any sleep! IF you don’t learn how to be more efficient (that word keeps coming up), you will likely get tired and perhaps give up on making money. There’s nothing wrong with doing tsu just for fun. I think that as long as I’m here I might as well see how I can make money with tsu as well.

You may remember that on Sunday tsu paid $0.36 into my tsu account. I wasn’t sure if maybe I had hit some sort of range and I was going to continue to see deposits in the 24-42 cent range. I’m glad to say that I was wrong. It’s important not to fixate on the financial results one day at a time, but it’s nice to see trends. Here it is:

Sunday $0.36
Monday $0.41
Tuesday $0.55
Wednesday $0.64

If I had to guess I would say that a few people (re-)shared a few of my posts on Tuesday and Wednesday and MAYBE that is the big difference.

If you feel that I’m sharing valuable information with you I would appreciate it if you went to @ACrowdFunder and (re-)shared posts that I HAVE CREATED.

You can tell if it’s mine because there will only be my name Charles Hicks-Moore at the top. When I have shared someone else’s created post it says Charles Hicks-Moore has shared a post. If you’re going to (re-)share my posts, please share the kind I mentioned in the first sentence of this paragraph.

Let me know if you’re a Beatles fan and you want me to @ you when I share Beatles stuff!

Have fun with tsu!

Take Time To Take It In

Right now I can feel the morning coolness coming in through a living room window. I hear multiple birds singing and if I don’t try to hard I can imagine the sounds from the freeway are a not too distant waterfall. The singing of the birds seems to be becoming more intense.

How often do we miss the opportunity to appreciate nature and the physical world?

When was the last time that you spent time without the internet, television or radio (or the movie theatre?)?

About 10 years ago when I attended Expressions Unlimited Toastmasters every single week almost without fail we had a guest from Orange County who traveled to Carlsbad regularly. He was heavily involved with the internet and I think I asked the wrong question because he never returned. Here is that question:

What do you do to get away from the internet?

I don’t remember his exact answer, but he seemed to think it was a terrible question.

He response was basically, “WHY would you take a break from the internet?”

I’ve seen articles written about such things in recent years. Maybe I was ahead of my time.

Recently we had fires in our area. You can see photos I took at Instagram.com/ACrowdFunder.

In dealing with that situation and the other things that got put on hold during the fires I found my schedule for Coach Zero disrupted.

Now our lives are being disrupted again by a beagle puppy that our son, Stuart, has named Bones. You can see video at Vine.co/ACrowdFunder.

I’m taking more time to appreciate nature and the physical world today. I believe my original schedule for Coach Zero is out the window.

By the way, maybe “out the window” is where we should all be looking more often.

Maybe we can get up and open the door and go outside and touch, see, hear, smell, taste and feel what we see when we look out the window.

In other words, take time to take it in.

That’s what I’m going to do as soon as I get this puppy to stop biting my foot.

Something Real & Fun & Inspiring & We Will Do It Together

Yesterday I watched a little bit of the Tom Cruise/Renee Zellweger movie, Jerry Maguire. There’s a scene where he’s leaving the company he helped build and I found that his words resonate with me and inspire me. The title of this post is a close paraphrase of what Jerry Maguire declared before he and Zellweger’s character left to start an exciting (and risky) new venture together.

Is there something you’ve been putting off?

Do you have an idea that you want to bring to the world, but you’ve never really sat down (or stood up) and simply started?

My friend, Fran Cannon, talks about your “dream drawer” where you’ve put your dream (or dreams) until you think the time is right for you to work on it.

NOW is the time.

Even if you’re wondering how you can move forward on it, NOW is the time!

If you have the slightest belief that you have something you want to do and you haven’t done it yet, I know of a website (and article) for you.

I just found this a couple days ago and finally read the article this morning.

I’m going for it.

Join me!

I want to help you make it happen!

Here’s how to get started:

1) Click on “Coach Zero’s Dream Survey” in the upper right (Start Creating Your Dream Now!) and let me know what you want to do. What is this dream you want to achieve? Give me a way to contact you and soon we’ll be talking about your dream/project over the internet and/or phone!

2) Visit this website & read this article AND subscribe to their email newsletter.
3 Steps To Stop Procrastinating

3) If you have skipped either Step 1 or Step 2, make sure you go back and complete both steps! Then if you want to get started even faster (DO IT NOW!), send me your phone number & email at Facebook.com/BigManWalking or Twitter.com/ACrowdFunder.

Let’s do something real & fun & inspiring – TOGETHER!

Keep Your Goal In Mind

Yesterday I was hitting the phones and email again. I’m in the process of contacting potential donors for The San Dieguito Heritage Museum‘s 26th Annual BBQ on May 17th from Noon til 3 pm. (Food will be served until 2:30.) Most of the businesses (mostly restaurants) that I’m contacting will donate gift cards or certificates for our silent auction.

When I’m in this mode I have to keep in mind that although I’m confirming the proper email to use to contact a business owner or manager, other opportunities arise that speed up the process so I can reach the goal sooner. Yesterday afternoon I was playing phone tag (the good kind!) with Amir from Surf Brothers and when we finally connected I asked for gift certificates and he let me know that was no problem. I asked if I could pick them up and he said yes, so I asked if I could do it right away. Again, no problem.

Not too long after that I drove to one of the Surf Brothers four locations and picked up the gift cards and some flyers and brochures for the display at The San Dieguito Heritage Museum.

Surf Brothers Brochures & Gift Cards On ACrowdFunder’s Instagram

While I was there I got dinner for my honey and me. If you check out the Instagram link above you’ll see that I got so carried away while enjoying the food that I forgot to take a picture of it. So I took a picture of the gift cards and literature instead. I made a mistake on the date of our event on Instagram early this morning so to be clear, it’s on Saturday, the 17th of May and it’s SDHM’s 26th Annual BBQ.

“What did we learn on the show tonight, Craig?”

Although I was really building up a head of steam in calling and emailing, the ultimate goal of each contact is donations for the silent auction. When I found someone who was willing to donate right now I stopped what I was doing and picked up the gift cards because RECEIVING the donation on behalf of The San Dieguito Heritage Museum is the goal.

You’re engaged in activities (hopefully in support of a goal or goals!) and it’s important to not miss the forest for the trees. When your goal is in sight, reach out and grab it! This is true, too – A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
