I Achieved 1000 Likes On Tsu In 24 Hours. Now What!?

This morning I woke up around 9:15 after going to see Fleetwood Mac at the Forum in Los Angeles last night with a good friend I’ve known since high school. The first thing I want you to notice is that I went out and had fun. Both of us had never seen Fleetwood Mac before and it would be the best concert either of us has seen all year except that we saw Paul McCartney with my wife and his daughter at Petco Park in September. THAT was the greatest concert we have ever been to in our entire lives. I know I’ve been going to concerts since I was at least 18 and maybe younger. So Paul McCartney was the greatest show in over 33 years. I shared that because I believe that it’s important to both work AND play.

When I woke up and checked on my Tsu account this morning I found that the likes, comments and views were the worst they’ve been in a while. Last night my account only added 24 cents so I knew that would mean I would have two low days in a row if I didn’t do something.

That’s when I decided to see if I could get to 1000 likes today. What I forgot at the beginning is that Tsu has a rolling 24 hour period. So at 3:59 pm California time today I had counted to 890 likes and Tsu said I could not like anymore because I had liked 1000 times in the last 24 hour period. I had forgotten that I was liking (and commenting and sharing) on Tsu yesterday from around 4 pm until I left at nearly 5:30 to drive to my friend’s house and go to the concert.

Two things about this. One, I want to remind you that Tsu starts their day at 4 pm my time (or close to that) which is Midnight Greenwich Mean Time, a world-wide standard. So I was thinking in terms of Tsu’s close of business for today. Two, I had coincidentally started a period of using Tsu at almost exactly 4 pm yesterday, which is why I hit 1000 likes at 3:59 pm. But that was just a coincidence. Your rolling 24 hour period is continually moving. I just found out a little while ago that I could like a little. We’ll see when Tsu stops me when I get done with this post. I assume they must give us a little extra leeway, because last night at this time we were sitting in our seats waiting for Fleetwood Mac to come on stage.

What did the 1000 likes do for my account?

Remember that my numbers were looking really bad before 9:30 this morning. By the time Tsu closed the day at 4 pm I had the most views I’ve ever had in one day – 2652! I also had the 4th highest like total – 178 – with 210 being my all-time high 2 days ago. My comments were tied for the 4th highest total I’ve had at 59. That all-time high was 5 days ago at 91.

In about 150 minutes I’ll know the financial result, but I want to mention that Tsu is NOT all about money. I keep meeting great people and I am learning to especially like the people who re-share my posts.

Tonight a guy who has thousands of friends and followers told me that he believes shares are most important financially. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but I do think shares are important. My guess is that they do contribute SOMETHING to our ultimate paycheck, but they are also an indication that people TRULY LIKE our posts enough to share them with their friends or with everyone.

I know that I would definitely appreciate it if anyone reading this post were to go to my Tsu page at https://www.tsu.co/ACrowdFunder and find one or two of MY posts (not necessarily something that I have re-shared from someone else) and re-share them on your Tsu page. There is likely SOMETHING that I have posted that you like, so take a look around. If you then came back to this blog and commented that you shared, well, that would be awesome. If you feel that I have provided you with some value on this blog I would really appreciate you giving me that little bit of value in return.

Let me leave you with this. IF sharing really is important (and I think it may be) and you want people to share your stuff, that means you need to create your own content. I created a limerick and I’m going to make a better presentation for it. (You can find it if you look back a couple of days.) Can you take pictures or your dog or sunsets or flowers? Are you funny? Are you good at using words to motivate? Use your creativity and come up with something. The more you practice, the easier it will become and soon you’ll be able to create a dozen or more things a day that other people can re-share.

Happy Thanksgiving! (A Little Work Before Food)

My post is not about how we should always work when we can. There’s nothing wrong with taking some time off.

But, it doesn’t hurt to squeeze in a little work if you enjoy it or just to sneak in a little project productivity.

So I’m going to say a little about how you can be more productive on Tsu in the long run by doing more than you are currently. By doing this you will spread goodwill and people will feel better about you on Tsu. Another way to put it is that they will like your brand more.

As long as I’m talking about liking, let me be specific. When I just used the word “like” above I wasn’t talking about clicking a “like” button on Tsu or some other site. (By the way, if you need to join Tsu, you can use my brother-in-law’s link – https://www.tsu.co/TheSilverSurfer.) What I am getting at is how well-liked you are or how much people enjoy you or your personal brand.

When you only “run” through the site “liking” everything in sight you are providing some small value. That’s true. As I have mentioned before, commenting is not only providing more value than liking, it gets you noticed more. Not only does it get you noticed more, but people ENJOY you more or VALUE you more. (I’m not going to go into different types of value here today.)

If your comment is thoughtful and not very long, people appreciate that. Hopefully that is self-evident. If you comment back and forth with someone in a relevant way, people appreciate that as well.

So here’s one way that you can immediately show that you’re different or better or have more value or that interacting with you will be more enjoyable.

Ready?

When YOU request to be someone’s friend and they approve, you are now friends. RIGHT NOW is the time for you to comment on at least 7 or 8 of their posts on their URL. If you’re not there when that person approves you to be their friend, do it anyway, but comment even more. Maybe 10 or 12 times.

This will make a big difference.

BUT, only if the comments are relevant and somewhat unique or at least playful.

Don’t simply comment “like” or “yo” or “nice” all the time.

THINK and/or FEEL about what you put down.

This might take a little practice, but you will get better AND faster with practice.

Do I have examples? Yes, because I do this a lot.

Instead of just saying cute I might say cutesweet AND I really have taken a few seconds to get an impression so that I am posting a comment that’s almost always positive and that’s ACTUALLY TRUE FOR ME.

You may need to get in touch with your emotions in order to do this well, but it will pay off AND, people will appreciate it and enjoy you/your brand even more.

Another example is when I notice something we have in common, such as we are both born in the same year and I’ll comment on that.

Sometimes I’ll write a complete sentence IF I TRULY MEAN IT. I might say something like, “I’m so glad you posted this because I needed to hear it today.”

Starting to get the picture?

Will you provide me some value for the value I’ve provided in this post? I would appreciate it!

Go to https://www.tsu.co/ACrowdFunder and practice what you’ve learned!

If you would like to create even more value then please add something like this to your comment (on my wall only) “I like what I learned at your blog CoachZero.com.” (This is ONLY OK because I’m asking you to do it. Only do it on my wall and do NOT add your own link. I’ll explain more in further posts.)

Please comment if you have sincere questions or positive stuff to share! [ And I don’t mean spam! 🙂 🙂 ]

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Give And Receive Value

Many people today don’t realize that you and I give value for value we receive in return. MONEY is stored value, which makes a fair exchange of value easier. That’s all money is. Don’t get wrapped up in other people’s confusing ideas about money.

Money is simply stored value. There are other ways to give and receive value. Money is more convenient.

When I go to the dentist to get a root canal I don’t bring two sheep with me to give him in exchange. It’s much more convenient to give him money or a check or credit card or a new technology which represents money.

If he and I had an agreement beforehand I could give him work for his work. Perhaps he needs some work done on his website or he wants me to teach him how to play poker or he wants me to show up with a few more Christmas carolers to sing outside his home on Christmas Eve.

Whatever he sees value in will work for the exchange AND, money is still more convenient. Please remember to keep in mind that MONEY is simply STORED VALUE. Money is one way of conveniently exchanging value for the value you receive.

Tsu gives us value for doing what we already do. I use Twitter, Facebook AND Tsu. But for now, most of my posts start with Tsu. I send a post through Tsu and sometimes I click the buttons to send it through Twitter and Facebook at the same time. Convenient AND Tsu pays me. Not a lot. Not yet. (I’ll share some data later in this post.)

When you comment on my post on Tsu you are giving me (and Tsu!) value. Take this one, for example:
Thank You For Being A Friend

[If you are not signed up with Tsu, you may need to enroll through a link to view this. Here is my wife’s – https://www.tsu.co/MarianneEarlywine.]

Did you know that when you comment on my post you are creating value not just for me and Tsu, but for you as well?

Here’s one way that we receive value when we comment. Someone sees the comment and they choose to visit your profile and follow you or friend you or like or comment on something you’ve posted or re-posted.

Do you think you are creating more value by commenting or by liking? Hopefully, you said commenting.

Commenting is more visible and therefore, less likely to be OVERLOOKED. Many people are busy. Do you think it’s easier to see a comment or a like?

If it’s easier to see then don’t you think it will be more likely that someone will respond to it? Does that make sense?

What if the comment is only the word “Like”.

There’s nothing wrong with that once in a while, but if that’s the only way you comment what do you think will happen?

I believe that if someone always comments the same way they will see others do the same to them OR people will start ignoring them.

Is that what you would do?

This gets back to value. If you expect someone to comment, is it fair that you ONLY give likes?

Aren’t you expecting someone to give you MORE value in return for the value you are giving?

Is that a FAIR value exchange?

Think about it.

Last week my Tsu numbers looked like this:

60 Friends
36 Followers
1928 Views On My Posts
85 Likes On My Posts
14 Comments On My Posts

I Have 6 “Children”
Those 6 Have Zero “Children”

Total 6 Children (Including Their Children/Generations)

Value
$0.09 (9 Cents)

This week’s Tsu numbers:

427 Friends
318 Followers
10748 Views
1015 Likes
375 Comments

8 Children
7 Children of Children

Total 15 Children (Including Their Children/Generations)

Value
$1.50

I predicted that at most I would make 27 cents this week. Instead, I made $1.41. That’s very encouraging.

Hang in there. This takes work. This takes creating value for people by commenting and by friending!

As you can see I added over 360 friends last week. There’s a lesson in that activity.

Go forth and do likewise!

Another TsuDay, Another TsuDollar

The headline of this post is not literally true for me yet. I’m rushing to get this post done before today’s numbers pop into my Tsu back office. It’s still hours away, but I feel like I’ve been trying to actually get down to writing this for hours.

Tsu is a little bit addictive. But that’s a good thing if you’re going to make money at it. If Tsu commands your attention then it will likely do the same for many of the people you bring to Tsu and for those who follow and friend you.

Yesterday I was surprised when at around 10:15 pm California time I saw the numbers change from 75 cents to $1.17 in a flash. If you read previous posts you’ll see that two days ago my TOTAL was 42 cents and yesterday the INCREASE was 42 cents. That’s exciting.

As I watched my back office today I noticed a few things.

First, it looks like the day ends around 4 pm California time and that’s Midnight Greenwich Mean Time or GMT. GMT is a world standard so it makes sense to me that that’s when the day ends. I’m sure it takes several hours to crunch the numbers which is why I saw the change around 10:15 last night.

Second, not only can you see graphs of the totals of your views, likes and comments, but you can scroll down and see how the last 30 posts are doing. It says “Last 30 Days” and that’s incorrect for now. It’s really your last 30 posts.

Third, I had my two highest counts on views and comments and my second highest count on likes.

What does it mean? That’s a good question.

If the revenue that Tsu generated today remains the same as yesterday, then I expect to get at least 48 cents. I could be surprised though.

I’ll see in a few hours.

Tsu Lessons

Now that I’m used to creating content and interacting on Tsu every day I have learned a couple things and I’ll continue to share more lessons in the future.

1) Never post about how Tsu won’t let you comment because you’ve maxed out for this particular rolling 24 hour period. I did that today and it may have been a coincidence, but not long after I made that announcement I found that no one was commenting. Maybe it was just because it was Saturday morning or maybe there are just some things we don’t want to share on Tsu!

Visit here to see what I said when Tsu gave me back the ability to comment:

https://www.tsu.co/post/9297864

If you haven’t joined Tsu yet, you may need to before you can view it.

Use my wife’s link – http://Tsu.co/MarianneEarlywine or mine – http://Tsu.co/ACrowdFunder to join right now!

2) You may find that some activities are more efficient, but not more effective. You may want to comment on a few posts by someone else, but don’t go overboard if you are trying to maximize how you use your time. This morning I decided to comment on 30 or 40 posts by one woman and it was very easy to simply scroll down to the next post time after time.

Did she do the same for me? No. She might have commented once and liked one or two posts. If I had spread out my comments over the next 10 or 12 days, maybe she would have returned the favor most of those days. We’ll see how that turns out but I don’t expect those chickens to hatch, so I won’t count those eggs!

Lastly, my account increased from 42 cents to 75 cents today and I didn’t really expect that. After such a good increase yesterday my account still increased over 78% in value today. So far 33 cents is the high for one day and I think tomorrow will be lower, but I’ve been wrong before. One thing I DO expect is that tomorrow there will be more than 75 cents there.

Why is this exciting? I believe that as I keep inviting people and people keep joining me that that will multiply the effects of what causes my financials to go up. Seems logical.

Still not convinced about how good Tsu will be?

Ask yourself this question-

“How much does Facebook or Twitter pay me to use their service?”

Tsu Gets My Attention

Earlier this week I read an article by a guy who is skeptical that Tsu will amount to anything because he says so many people are put off by making money for using it properly. WHAT?

Even if he’s right about some people, there are still millions who have no problem getting paid for using a Facebook-like site. Pretty simple. How much has Facebook paid you? Maybe when Tsu was tiny (when WAS that?) that might have been true. Tsu has more than a MILLION users after a month. I joined a couple weeks ago and started posting several days ago about my experience.

This is not a full update and if you want to jump right in, join me on Tsu now by clicking here. Next Monday or Tuesday I will post the full update.

This is only about sense and cents. My total starting yesterday morning was 23 cents. (Remember, we are just getting started with the profit sharing.) In a previous post I said that I expected to be between 17 and 27 cents next week. So I’ve already blown through that! [You might think I’m crazy about pennies unless you’ve read previous posts.]

What I’m really wondering is if this is a one-time thing to increase by 19 cents in one day. It’s not the absolute amount that I’m excited about. It’s the PERCENTAGE INCREASE! My total increased by 82% in one day! I don’t expect that every day, but even if it happens just some of the time, that’s exciting. Think about it.

Will Stars Emerge?

As much as possible I’ve decided to do updates about my social media progress on Mondays or Tuesdays from now on.

I’m sure some people might get discouraged when they look at the numbers too often. I’m thinking that over the long run it will be good to see things on a weekly basis and we’re near the beginning of that process. Always remember to keep in mind the long-term perspective. Over time we’ll be able to see week after week after week and that will tell us a story about how I’m doing.

We may also discover benefits we didn’t know were there at the start.

One thing I’m hoping for is for people in the network to do some work themselves. Time will tell. That’s the nature of this type of process which is similar to what network marketers experience. It’s like when an airplane is taking off. You know you’ll be soaring at 30,000 feet at some point, but at this moment you’re still on the runway at close to sea level.

Last time I forgot to include the money earned on Tsu. You may remember on the first post on this subject I mentioned that I had gone from $0.00 to $0.01. My total went from $0.01 last week to $0.09 today. Again, time will tell if this is a multiplying effect, which I doubt, or if it’s merely adding 8 cents a week. I suspect it’s somewhere in between so I expect next week will be somewhere between 17 cents and 27 cents total.

Remember, this is not just about the money. Having more people on Twitter and Tsu will mean that whatever message I’m sending out gets to more people. Here are the rest of the numbers:

I have been told again that I am at the limit of posting for a particular 24 hour period. As far as I know there is no penalty involved with reaching that limit again and again. You simply aren’t allowed to post until you reach a point where it’s been 24 hours + 1 minute (or second?) since that post which started the clock. I’m pretty sure that Tsu wants to encourage lots of posting – within limits.
